Glee Halloween Costumes Charice: Glee Season 2 Finale

Fri, 09/16/2011 - 12:21AM by gle4wehallowmn7 0 Comments - 4 Views

Everyone knows that Charice can sing and perform. But one side of her career that many have been carefully watching is her transition from a singer/performer to an actor. Back in the Philippines, her acting on local shows were not as commendable. Subsequently, when press released that she'll be appearing on Glee Season 2, both fans and critics were hungry and waiting for how it will unfold.

Fortunately, her appearances on Glee have displayed a gradual improvement from the first to this final stint. Her acting has greatly enhanced. The emotions that she demonstrated were appropriate to each line that she uttered. Even her diction is well-improved.

It is noticeable though that many critics have given too much emphasis on her weight. There are varied opinions on it but for people who are used to how the camera works, it's obvious that Charice didn't gain weight. It only appeared so because of her hairstyle, her dress, and camera angle among others.

This negative focus on weight has potential unhealthy effects. It is because of criticisms like these that many teenage Hollywood stars have ended up in unfortunate states of anorexic and bulimic disorders.

These critics have been focusing on a non-essential. What needs to be notice really is the grandeur of Charice's performance and not her weight.

Charice sang with returning champions Vocal Adrenaline and belted out an original song entitled "As Long As You're There". The performance was overall impressive. The song's lyrics are noteworthy and the arrangement is spectacular. What's more, the song is able to display Charice's full range and thus giving her talent justice. Every detail of that performance was breath-taking.

Charice has also recently released other singles from her upcoming sophomore album. The songs are "One Day", "Before It Explodes", "Louder", and "Lost The Best Thing". All these singles make fans anticipate an awesome album because in every way, these are better than the songs in her debut album. Perhaps this year, Charice will gain a bigger recognition - one that she truly deserves.

Glee is a comedy-drama musical that originally debuted on Fox in May, 2009, occupying the coveted spot following American Idol. Glee's first full season began in September of that year. The series is based on a William McKinley High School choir (Glee club) called New Directions. Glee is currently on a brief hiatus and will return to television in April 2010 with the remaining episodes of the current season. Fox's president recently announced that Glee has signed a contract and will be returning for a second season.

Glee was created by Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, and Brad Falchuk, all of which were involved in high school choir and glee club. They originally meant for Glee to be a movie rather than a television show.

The music the creators picked for the show are between show tunes and popular chart hits. Songs are performed by characters on-screen and are normally performances rather than impromptu songs in order to seem more real. The show's soundtrack has been a commercial success and all songs are released on iTunes the week of broadcast. There is even Glee albums being released by Columbia Records.

Recording artist Billy Joel has contributed quite a bit of music to Glee, as well as Madonna and Rihanna. There are also songs from the award-winning musicals Cabaret and Grease. The artist with the most songs appearing on the show to date is Beyonce Knowles, with one song from her time with Destiny's Child and three solo songs. Zach Woodlee is the choreographer for Glee, and his routines are often so elaborate and complex it often takes cast and crew up to ten days just to complete a single episode.

Glee has been compared numerous times to High School Musical, although the writers say they were more inspired by Chicago and were trying to come up with a "postmodern musical."

Reviews of Glee have been positive overall, especially the talented cast. Glee has been nominated for various awards and won a Best Comedy Series award at the 2010 Golden Globe's. Several actors and actresses in the show were also nominated for awards for their roles. Glee was nominated for three Teen Choice Awards, and they won five Satellite Awards, various Artios Awards, and AFI Awards. They were noticed with nominations and awards at the People's Choice Awards, Writers Guild of America, Directors Guild of America, and the NAACP Image Awards.

Glee's cast encompasses twelve major, recurring roles that are played by the following: Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, Dianna Agron, Jessalyn Gilsig, and Mark Salling. Over the course of the show several popular Broadway stars and music stars have made guest appearances, including Olivia Newton-John, Josh Groban, and Whitney Houston.

Overall, Glee has gotten positive reviews from The New York Times, The Daily News, USA Today, Los Angeles Times. The musical performances on the show have been extremely successful and have sold over two million copies of singles on iTunes. The cast has even had 25 singles make it to the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009.

Glee Halloween Costumes Program Glee Repeated Recognition Winner

Fri, 09/16/2011 - 12:20AM by gle4wehallowmn7 0 Comments - 2 Views

Fox Network has shown the TV show Glee for a season. Glee is going to start season two in fall of 2010. Glee captured numerous awards for season one and has star performers make guest appearances for each themed show.

The show takes its name from glee clubs, as the show is a musical comedy-drama that follows the activities of an Ohio high school show choir. The team, New Directions, prepares for various competitions and the show follows the cast members through the various obstacles that arise. Each episode would normally have the cast perform several songs either as a group or individually. The show did not focus on only one team member, instead having various cast members be the star for each episode.

The first season of Glee consisted of 22 episodes, with its pilot episode airing on May 19, 2009 then the show returning on September 9, 2009. The show ran in the Wednesday, 9 pm. Time slot for Fox. Season two has already been ordered by Fox and is scheduled to begin airing on September 21, 2010.

There is a good mix of student and faculty characters on the show. Will Schuester and Sue Sylvester battle as rival group leads within the school. Finn Hudson, Noah Puckerman, and Quinn Fabray have a friendship and love triangle between them, with Quinn being pregnant with Noah's child. Rachel Berry, Artie Abrams, and Kurt Hummel are some of the other students that play key roles with the team.

Season one of Glee had numerous well known musical performers, actors and Broadway stars join the normal cast as guest stars. Many times the guest stars would take on expanded roles and become a focal point for that show. It gave the regular cast members an opportunity to feed off the talents of other stars to help keep the show exciting and interesting.

Glee and its cast members won many different awards after the first season. Various awards were handed out lauding the show as best musical or comedy, some of the crew as best actors or actresses, and even guest stars won awards for their efforts on the show. The group also won an award for best ensemble cast.

With many awards won in the first season it aired, the TV show Glee is returning for a second season that is anticipated by many people. Look for most of the same cast members in the second season and some different guest stars as well.

Glee Halloween Costumes How Worth Watching Is The Fox TV Show The Cleveland Show?

Fri, 09/16/2011 - 12:20AM by gle4wehallowmn7 0 Comments - 2 Views

Television is a fascinating thing that captures viewers over and over again. Some sitcoms have lasted for years, still remaining in the top ten viewed each week. People fall in love with the characters that keep them returning week after week. A good example is the millions of Americans enjoying the TV show the Cleveland Show.

Created by the talented Seth MacFarlane who is also responsible for the creation of the hit animation series, Family Guy has found growing interest among Americans and others. It first aired in September 2009 as a spin-off from the ever lovable Family guy on Fox.

In the original show, Cleveland Brown decides to leave Quahog, Rhode Island for a more interesting lifestyle. He and his son head to California but end up in a town in Virginia, his actual hometown. The best thing is that the characters from the original show and the spin-off will visit each other in the future.

Cleveland has a family of his own on this series which includes his wife Donna, and her two kids a five-year-old and a teenage daughter. Of course, Cleveland Jr. Is one of the characters on the show as well. In this spin-off, he is extremely obese and older.

The show has gotten mixed reviews from critics. Thankfully, the general population doesn't care much what the critics think and basically choose what they want of their own accord. Some critics gave positive reviews, especially about the character named Tim the Bear. Right now, several countries around the world have the option to watch this show. It airs in Brazil, Portugal, the UK, Ireland and Russia.

There are ways in which to watch such shows. They have a strange sense of humor and often refer to sex and sometimes racists jokes. So, young children are certainly not the target audience.

Don't think that because a series or a movie is animated that it is geared to kids. That could not be further from the truth. Rather, these types of shows are for adults, and even then, some can be offended. Take it for what it is, give it a try and enjoy. If you find that after viewing it, it isn't for you just don't tune in again. But, the chances are that if you like the Family Guy, then you will most likely enjoy this one.

Some television programs are produced to appeal to a particular demographic. The Television show The Cleveland Show shoots for an audience of older teens and young adults. On the other hand, the TV show Caprica appeals to mostly males in those same age groups plus other science fiction fans..

Glee Halloween Costumes Glee First Season Reviews - A Snapshot

Fri, 09/16/2011 - 12:20AM by gle4wehallowmn7 0 Comments - 2 Views

Glee, the hit new show that kicked off in 2009 on FOX, is a musical / drama / comedy that takes us into the lives of a local high school's re-invigorated Glee club. The glee club (know as The New Directions) is getting into the local performance choir circuit and all the while various members are battling social, romance, and sex issues.

Season 2 has already started airing on TV and the Glee Season 1 DVD has already been released. As such, I figured I'd do a user review round-up on the Glee Season 1 DVD and show you exactly what you will be getting.

What They Like:

"Glee has created a completely new genre of television." - This is undoubtedly one of the elements of Glee that really differentiates it from the rest of television. The idea of building a musical drama-comedy TV series is just incredibly unique and the way the producers mix and match pop music along with broadway hits really makes the series stand out.

"Sue steals the spotlight over and over again." - Sue Sylvester is definitely a fan favorite and she delivers a large part of the laughter that makes Glee a really fun show to watch. Her character's lines are expertly written and often maliciously cut into the other adult lead, Will Schuester.

"I can watch these episodes repeatedly and still find myself singing along and excited" - Once again, the musical quality of Glee makes it extremely fun to watch. It's almost similar to watching a television show that is full of amazing music videos - you enjoy watching the music videos so much that you simply can not stop watching the entire show.

What They Don't Like:

"Don't be deceived by the many 1 star reviews... most are just ill-founded opinions re: feeling forced into purchasing the 1st half of Season 1." - It seems that a lot of folks online are angry by the fact that the first half of season 1 was released and now a Glee DVD (or Blu-ray) for the entire 1st season has been released. This confuses me somewhat as a Glee DVD for the 2nd half of season 1 was also released, allowing folks who purchased the 1st half of season 1 to complete their set. That being said, the second volume of season 1 is currently more costly than the entire first season... so that may be frustrating some customers.

I hope the Glee DVD reviewer snapshot was helpful to you. Enjoy your gleekdom!

Glee Halloween Costumes Sick Of Cops, Lawyers, And Drugs In Your Television - Get Some Glee

Fri, 09/16/2011 - 12:19AM by gle4wehallowmn7 0 Comments - 2 Views

Glee, the hit musical / drama / comedy series on FOX, is now in its second season (with a third already in the queue) and has discovered an untapped (or at the very least unsaturated) niche in evening television. With TV series top ten lists for the last ten years covered with the likes of HBO's The Wire, The Sopranos, AMC's Mad Men, West Wing, etc, Glee has filled a fun-loving escapist niche in prime time entertainment - and it's filled it well.

Most of the award winning television series within the last 10 years have focused on cops, lawyers, politicians, big business, drugs, violence, sex, and... well, you see the pattern. Plenty of it makes for great television, but sometimes you want an escape. You need something light, cheerful, and uplifting... and true to name, Glee delivers.

Encouraged by the great success of the reality television escapism giant, American Idol, Glee invites viewers to take off their shoes, relax, and just enjoy the entertainment. There's no intense thinking necessary. Glee's base of characters is large, vibrant, and structured in a practically hyperbolic way guaranteeing that each character is essentially a characateur of a stereotype (or reverse stereotype) that you may find at a community high school. Often they're casted with a bit of a twist, as is the case with the new football coach Shannon Beiste, but each character's role in the show is always made clear (again, as shown by Beiste, who's last name is pronounced just as her role has been cast - a Beast).

Maybe the only other fictional TV series to do this successfully during the past 10 years was The Office with Steve Carell, which is currently in its seventh season and clearly having lots of success. And even though there's no way Glee is as cheap as The Office to shoot (think of all the musical outtakes!) it is currently getting more viewers per episode than any season of The Office ever has (with more than 9.7 million viewers / episode in the first season).

So, in this world of depressing 24 hour news networks and reality television that isn't afraid to get that much more trashy (how is MTV's 16 & Pregnant in a second season?), Glee is definitely a welcome, fun, uplifting boost to an otherwise weighty (if not depressing) line-up of prime time television.
